I wanted to say thank you for being a member of the Retreat on The Clearing. As you may have seen, we’re changing the way that I run my online retreats.
We are switching online retreats to a new Substack account called The Retreat with Katherine May, which will go live this week.
You don’t need to do anything - we’ll move you over!
We’ll move you over to the new account, and make sure that your subscription is transferred over too. Because of the way that Substack works, we’ll be issuing you gift subscriptions of either 6 months or 12 months, depending on how many months you have left. Most people will get a free month or two!
When your gift subscription expires, you’ll have the chance to subscribe again, but no pressure.
You can choose to pay monthly or annually, and there will be a discount for annual subscribers and a very special gift of an exclusive art print commissioned by me that will come every year when your subscription renews and be updated every 12 months. This year’s is designed by , a wonderful papercut artist and author, who hand cuts illustrations from single pieces of paper.
We will be running more retreats, although they will be a little shorter.
We will run 10 retreats a year, on the third Saturday of each month except August and December, and monthly subscription payments will be paused in August and December. The first retreat will be on Saturday 18th April.
All future retreats will be two hours long.
All retreats will still be available as a recording afterwards.
The cost will be the same if you keep an annual subscription
There’s no rise in cost for anyone here who continues to pay annually - but we are switching to pounds as the basic currency for charges. So it will be £120 per year from now on.
However, monthly subscribers will pay a slight premium of £15 per month. When we take a break in August and December, monthly subscriptions will be paused.
As I said earlier, you don’t need to do anything - we’ll move you over!
You will still get a subscription to The Clearing newsletter.
Because we’re moving to a separate account, people in the Retreat won’t automatically get The Clearing newsletter anymore. However, if you’re an existing member - i.e. if you’re reading this - we’re going to give you a lifetime subscription to The Clearing. You shouldn’t see any difference when your membership changes, but if you see any confusing messages, do get in touch using the email address below.
